After the tremendous amount of rain yesterday I had been thinking about the Heathcote River track and how it held up. When I left to go to work this morning I glanced over and couldnt believe the colour of the water, a browny yellow colour, worse than before. The document I found online stating the water results of our rivers, showed then that our Heathcote river is way over the contamination levels ever. Actually the colour looks the same as under my house (Other blog).
Tonight when I got home from work, I just had to go take a look, although it is devastating to see, it is a calming place for me. Yes the angel of the river was there too, maybe one day he will be more friendly and chat more.

Made my way along the track and saw instantly that the rain had made things worse. Opposite my house the cracks are opening up, but further down woh very sad. Below are just a few pics and the rest Ill put up on my flcikr account and link to this blog.

Silly me, I was looking down one of the very deep cracks when my lighter fell out form between my cleavage and fell down the opening. I seen the flickers of the lighter silver part going down quite a way. How far Ill never know. Buggar........Be interesting if the silt will ever spit it out and bring it back to the surface. Ill be watching that crack more closely from now on.
